What happens on the day?
Virtual Consultation
You will have a virtual consultation with our specialist cancer screening doctor who will go through your medical history and discuss any concerns.
The scan will take around 90 minutes and you will be able to return to your usual activities straight after.
Upon arrival at 9 Harley Street we will direct you to our diagnostic suite, giving you a comfortable gown and slippers to change into for the scan.
You cancer scan images will be reviewed by our cancer screening Professors and a complete and comprehensive report will be generated for you.
You will be positioned on the scanner and will be able to listen to relaxing music and speak with the team throughout.
You will have a follow up consultation with our specialist cancer screening doctor to discuss your results.
We make it easier for you to access the care you need with flexible availability.
Our appointments are available Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
We’re also open on Saturdays, so there’s no need to rearrange your entire week so you can schedule an assessment when it’s most convenient for you.

A virtual GP consultation with our specalist cancer screening doctor, MRI scan using our innovative Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) cancer screening technology, a detailed report outlining your scan findings and a virtual follow-up consultation with a specalist cancer screening consultant
The screening scans from the head to the upper thigh. The areas analysed include the brain, lungs, colon, prostate, breast, bladder, kidney, liver and pancreas.
You don’t need to be referred by a GP and can self-refer. Prior to the screening, you will have pre-assessment telephone appointment with a GP to discuss your medical history and any health concerns.
Your cancer screening results within 2 weeks of having your Advanced Cancer Screening appointment. The results will be sent to you securly via email. We can also post your results to you if you would prefer, but please be aware that they make take slightly longer to arrive.
Your screening results and report will not be shared with your GP unless you specifically request that we do so.
Some insurance companies (such as Bupa or Vitality) will cover (or part cover) the cost of an Advanced Cancer Screening, depending on your type of policy. You will need to contact your insurance company directly to confirm this. You will be required to pay the full cost of the scan and claim back from your insurance.
If you have suddenly become unwell and/or are in pain, you should seek an urgent GP appointment, you can book an appointment with a Private GP in London by calling us at 0207 079 2100 or emailing [email protected].
If you are currently having tests for cancer diagnosis or are already in a medical pathway through the NHS for suspected cancer, then the Advanced Cancer Screening service is not appropriate. However, if you would like to see a consultant privatly then we can arrange you to see one of our oncologist consultants.
